How to take screenshot in Windows 11

In this article, we have explained how to take screenshot in Windows 11. Before Windows 11, we have been able to snap a screenshot with the press of a single key: PrtSC. This copies the full desktop image to the clipboard. Then, we paste it in the Paint or Paint 3D or Adobe Photoshop or any image editor.

In windows 11, we have to use Alt-PrtSC or if you are using laptop then hold Function or fn-alt-PrtSC to copy the full desktop image to the clipboard for further process.

Use Snipping Tool instead of PrtSC

Instead of PrtSC use the Snipping Tool to take screenshot in Windows 11. Open Snipping Tool by pressing Windows Key-Shift-S. This keyboard shortcut gives us a choice to take screenshot using a rectangular selection, freehand selection, full window or full screen capture.
